The all-new 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is available in four different trim levels - ES, LE, SE and SEL trims. All trims come equipped with a 1.5-liter direct-injection turbo engine, offering an impressive 184 lb-ft of torque and a modest 152 horsepower. The engine is paired with an 8-speed continuous variable transmission (CVT) and delivers when it comes to fuel economy - 26 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The Eclipse Cross is available in all-wheel-drive as well as front-wheel-drive across all trims with the exception of the ES (base) trim.
The Eclipse Cross is a sleek crossover with an exclusive front grille and LED headlights. 18-inch aluminum wheels are standard on every trim except the base trim; the ES which rides on 16-inch wheels. Fog lights, daytime running LED lights, color-keyed outside door handles, LED rear combination tail lights, and an LED high mount stop light are all standard across all trims. The higher-tier trims also offer chrome upper grilles, power-folding side mirrors, LED headlights, auto on/off headlights, black lower door trim with silver accent, and rain-sensingwindshield wipers. A dual-pane power panoramic sunroof and black roof rails are available as an option for consumers looking for something extra.
The interior of the 2019 Eclipse Cross is sprinkled with varied features such as a standard rearview camera, steering wheel controls, high-contrast instruments, 4-way adjustable passenger seat, a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat bench, and rear seat slide and recline functions. The higher-tier trims enjoy features such as a leather-wrapped knob, heated front seats, an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, soft-touch door trim inserts. Leather upholstery and heated rear seats are available as an option as well.
Available features on the 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross include a 7.0-inch Smartphone Link Thin-Display touchscreen across all trims except the ES - this trim comes standard with a 7.0-inch display only, no touchscreen. Also available on the LE, SE, and SEL trims are a Sirius XM 3-month trial, Digital HD radio, Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, steering wheel voice controls, and dual USB ports. The multi-view camera system, head-up display, and Mitsubishi Connect Telematics system with a 24-month trial of Safeguard and Remote Services for optimal entertainment and safety connectivity are all features reserved for the highest trims. For true audiophiles, there is a 710-watt nine-speaker Rockford-Fosgate premium audio system available as an option on the SEL trim.
Safety Features and Warranty
The 2019 Eclipse Cross offers side curtain airbags, front-seat-mounted airbags, driver’s knee airbag, advanced dual-stage front airbags, three-point seatbelts complete with head restraints, traction control, active stability control, and hill start assist - all of these features are standard across all trims. Blind-spot warning, lane change assist, and rear cross traffic alerts are available features on the SE and SEL trims. Advanced safety features such as automatic high beams, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control are all available as an option on the SEL trim at an extra cost.
Mitsubishi offers a five-year or 60,000-mile limited basic warranty, a ten-year or 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, and a seven-year or 100,000-mile anti-corrosion and perforation warranty.
