The Journey offers two powertrains. A 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that fabricates 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque, and it’s paired to a four-speed automatic transmission. Another option is the 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Transmission & Towing
The towing capacity is up to 2,500 pounds. Tow a boat or some heavy furniture. The available Trailer Tow Prep Group also allows for 2,500 pounds of tow up. Standard Trailer Sway Control works with Electronic Stability Control to apply brake coercion and modify the engine throttle to help minimize the sway and maintain the stability.

The standard ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera displays an image of the area behind the vehicle on the Uconnect touchscreen when shifting into reverse.
