2019 Chevy Tahoe
The 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe enjoys a high ranking in the large SUV class. It has powerful engine options, a great predicted reliability rating, and user-friendly features. The 2019 Chevy Tahoe comes in three trim levels; the LS, LT, and Premier. All Tahoe models come standard with a 5.3-liter V8 engine, rear-wheel drive, and a six-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is optional in every trim, and a 6.2-liter V8 and a 10-speed automatic transmission are optional with the Premier model.

The standard powertrain on the 2019 Chevy Tahoe is a 5.3-liter V8 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, which delivers 355 horsepower. The six-speed automatic provides smooth and timely shifts, and its optional 6.2-liter V8 produces 420 horsepower. The larger V8 is only available in select trims, and it’s mated to a 10-speed automatic which provides thrilling acceleration every time you hit the gas.
A properly equipped Tahoe pulls up to 8,600 pounds. It comes standard with a trailering hitch platform, a 2-inch receiver, and trailer sway control. Optional trailering equipment includes trailer brake controls, a two-speed active transfer case, a different rear axle ratio, and an air-leveling suspension.
Up front, the split headlights remain, framing a large, grille. The back has a rectangular tailgate design and boxy taillights. The RST trim-or Rally Sport Truck-cuts back the chrome for black accents and 22-inch wheels that give the Tahoe a sportier look.
The Tahoe seats anywhere from five to nine passengers. The standard configuration is for eight, and it has two front seats and second- and third-row benches. As a choice, you can get rid of the third row entirely on the base model and have the first-row bench seat only.
The wide, flat, and cushy front seats are ideal companions for long drives. If the customer sticks with the bench seats or opts for two bucket seats, the second row is equally enjoyable. The cargo space is 15.3 cubic feet of space, and it folds down to create a flat floor and opens up 51.7 cubic feet of space.
The 2019 Tahoe highlights a long list of standard features such as the 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, along with a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot. Chevy’s MyLink is one of the most straightforward systems out on the market right now, thanks to its simple menus and quick response times. The Tahoe also has seven USB ports to keep everyone’s smartphone charged.
Other standard features include satellite radio, tri-zone automatic climate control, a 110-volt power outlet, and HD Radio. Optional services include a rear-seat DVD player, navigation, wireless charging and one of two Bose premium stereos. Everything to keep today’s millennial well-connected.
Safety Features and Warranty
Safety standard on all Tahoes is a rearview camera and rear parking sensors. Chevy includes Teen Driver system, which allows the owner of the vehicle to set limitations on audio volume and speed, as well as monitor the driving of other people that use the car. Optional advanced safety features are front parking sensors, a head-up display, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning; lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking and available safety alert seat vibrate to warn you of an impending collision.
With the new Chevrolet, you’ll have the Comprehensive Complete Care Package which is one maintenance visit that includes oil change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection.
