2019 Chevy Cruze
The 2019 Chevy Cruze is a compact sporty vehicle that is ready to take you on all of your errands and adventures as well. It is available in seven models, and you have the choice of getting a Sedan or a Hatchback. With four configurations: the LS, LT, Diesel, and Premier, the 2019 Chevy Cruze is updated with a fresh new look, the latest amenities and it’s incredibly efficient.
Avail. Engine Type
Chevy Cruze comes standard with a 153-horsepower and a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine. It also has a six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel efficiency is up to 30 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway (with the hatchback, it’s 28/38 mpg).
The standard stop-start system can now be changed from on to off as it engages more smoothly than its rivals’ system do. That’s what is mainly responsible for its high fuel economy. But there are some changes for the 2019 model.
Driving and Handling
The 2019 Chevrolet Cruze operates well and the Cruze’s sharp steering and nimble handling, provide a feeling of self-control. The Cruze also has excellent fuel efficiency. It’s robust enough to move around corners with the slightest body lean, but it’s smooth enough to meander over uneven pavements.
Chevrolet Cruze lost its manual transmission for 2019, but it’s still offered in the diesel engine. The 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine has 137 horsepower and comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The fuel estimates for the turbodiesel ranges from 31 mpg in the city and 48 mpg on the highway (with the Sedan) and 30/45 mpg (with the Hatchback).
The exterior has a restyled front end with a new fascia, grille, and headlamps. The Cruze has revised, expressive dual-element taillamps and new tail lamps with LED signature lighting that is available on the Premier trim. There are also new wheel designs for every package.
Projector headlamps come standard with LED signature lighting on the LT and Premier. The RS package (which is black window moldings and emblems) is also available on the LT and Premier. IntelliBeam automatic headlamp control is available on the Premier and, the content included are unique, larger black machined wheels, rear spoiler, sports body kit, black bowtie emblems, Black beltline moldings, and sports rear suspension.
The 2019 Chevy Cruze interior comes with new colors such as Jet Black/ Umber. It has a Start and Open Keyless feature available on the LT, and it’s standard on the Premier as well as heated front seats on the LT, which come standard on the Premier. A heated steering wheel is standard on the Premier and Diesel and 60/40-split folding rear seat is standard on the LT and Premier.
As for entertainment, the Chevrolet comes standard with an infotainment 3 radio system and a 7-inch diagonal color touchscreen. If you’re dependant on your smartphone, the vehicle comes standardly equipped with Android Auto and Apple Car Play phone projection capability. Available is a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
Safety Features and Warranty
For protection, the 2019 Chevy Cruze has 10 standard airbags, including frontal and knee airbags for both driver and front passenger; seat-mounted side impact and roof-rail mounted head-curtain airbags for front and rear outboard positions. Also standard is a Rear Vision Camera and StabiliTrak electronic stability control with traction control. For Driver Confidence Package (available on the LT and Premier), it includes Rear Park Assist, Lane Change Alert (with Side Blind Zone); Rear Cross Traffic Alert and for Driver Confidence II (available on the Premier) it includes Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator and Front Pedestrian Braking as well.
As a Chevrolet driver, you are covered with the comprehensive Complete Care package, which is included in all 2019 Chevrolet vehicles. Included is one maintenance visit which consists of an oil change, tire rotation and, multi-point inspection. For 5 years or 60,000 miles, there is Courtesy Transportation available, Powertrain Limited Warranty and 24-hour Roadside Assistance. As for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles, you will get Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty.
For 6 years or 100,000 miles, you are covered with the Rust-Through Corrosion Limited warranty. Chevrolet Connected Access comes with 10 years of standard connectivity. Included is also a 1-month trial of Chevrolet connected services and 1-month of OnStar Safety and Security Plan coverage.
