2018 Chrysler Pacifica
The 2017 model year was the first year for the Chrysler Pacifica and Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and it earned numerous awards. In addition to seating for seven or eight passengers, more than 140 cubic feet of cargo space and a number of the most advanced tech, entertainment and safety features available, the Chrysler Pacifica is ideal for parents, businesses, bands, and even traveling professionals.
When Chrysler released the Pacifica for the 2017 model year, their goal was to reinvent the minivan segment and they succeeded. In addition to all of the “firsts’ the Pacifica has earned in the minivan segment, it also stands out in the segment due to its sophisticated and sleek exterior design.
3.6L Pentastar V6 Engine
The first Pacifica released was the Chrysler Pacifica, which is equipped with an internal combustion engine. The Pacifica Hybrid is equipped with a modified version of the 3.6-liter V6 engine, as well as a 16 kWh lithium-ion battery that is paired to dual electric motors. The Pacifica Hybrid has a total driving range of 566 miles when the gas tank is full and the battery is fully charged and it has a combined city/highway fuel economy of 84 MPGe when the battery and engine are working together. When the Pacifica is only powered by its battery, it can travel up to 33 miles on pure electricity.

The Pacifica Hybrid can be recharged in two hours when it is hooked up to a 240-volt outlet and when the Pacifica Hybrid is hooked up to a 120-volt outlet, which is commonly found in homes, it takes about 14 hours to fully recharge. The Pacifica Hybrid is equipped with regenerative braking, which recycles energy used by the brakes to stop the car into energy to charge the battery.
While the Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid look identical on the outside, both models are a little different in the interior. The Chrysler Pacifica is available in two seating configurations because the second row can be two separate seats or a three-person bench seat, followed by a third row that is a three-person bench seat. Due to the large battery in the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, the Pacifica Hybrid is only available as a seven passenger minivan.

When the seats aren’t needed for passengers, users can easily store the seats in their storage compartments, which opens up 140.5 cubic feet of flat storage space. However, when the seats are in use, the floor storage compartments can be used to store items to keep the cabin free of clutter.
