The Fiat 500 is more than just a model of car, it's an extended family of driving excitement. No matter what you are looking for in a new vehicle, there's one perfect for you.
The 500 is the classic subcompact from which all the other members of the family tree have branched off. Available in Pop, Sport, Lounge and Turbo editions, the 500 is a two-door version. It fits in to tight little parking spaces, delivers an average of 35 miles per gallon, and looks great doing it.
The 500 offers two engine choices. The Pop, Sport and Lounge trim levels are all powered by a 1.4L 4-cylinder, while the Turbo version offers the same engine, only with a MultiAir turbocharged kick. All engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 500 comes in a wide array of vibrant colors, and features Bluetooth handsfreecommunication and optional TomTom navigation. You can also get the 500 with a sunroof if you want to let in some natural light.
If you really love the open-air feel, but an optional sunroof just isn't enough, there's the Fiat 500c. It's the convertible version of the 500, only with a power-assisted retractable cloth roof. The roof isn't an all-or-none equation, however. It offers multiple stopping points between all the way open or all the way closed. It's available in either Pop or Lounge trim levels.
Other small differences between the 500 and 500c include a slightly elongated windshield on the 500c to allow a better view of the road ahead. There's also a rear-mounted spoiler to help the vehicle better hug the corners when you are out for a cruise. Otherwise, this version shares the same engine options and features as the 500.
The Fiat 500e is the first all-electric model to sport the Fiat name. It sports an incredible 122 miles per gallon equivalent in city driving, and 108 MPGe on the highway. The 83-kilowatt electric motor that powers the 500ecranks out 111 horsepower, and comes ready to roll in eight different colors.
The 500e is more than just an electric version of the 500. It packs lots of engineering innovations on to its two-door frame, and is consistently rated one of the most exciting electric cars on the market. Don't be fooled by its quiet demeanor. It will hang with the best subcompact gas-powered cars in off-the-line acceleration, and a stiffened suspension delivers a delicious ride.
Power door locks, Bluetooth handsfree communication and TomTom navigation all come standard in the 500e, which also features Sirius satellite radio.
The "L" in the name of this Fiat model stands for living, which is what your family can do in this four-door upsized 500. The Pop, Easy, Trekking, Urbana and Lounge trim levels all come powered by the 1.4L MultiAir turbocharged four-cylinder, which averages 29 mpg. All but the Lounge come with a six-speed manual transmission. The Lounge features a heavy-duty six-speed automatic.
Standard on the 500L are features like Uconnect, powered by a 5-inch touchscreen up front. There's also the available Beats upgrade premium audio platform, remote keyless entry, a security alarm and tire pressure monitoring.
The newest member of the Fiat 500 family is the 500X. It comes in either Pop, Easy, Lounge, Trekking or Trekking Plus trim levels. The 500X is ready for any adventure you can throw at it, with four doors to fit the family and all the cargo you need.
Under the hood you will find a beefy 2.4L MultiAir turbocharged engine, with a nine-speed automatic transmission to maximize fuel efficiency and hauling capacity. The 500X sits on 18-inch wheels, giving you great ground clearance, and available eight-way power seats with lumbar support keeps the ride comfortable no matter where you go.
The Uconnect infotainment system comes standard, with either a 5-inch or 6.5-inch touchscreen display available. Bi-function halogen headlamps light the road ahead, and Electronic Stability Control and Electronic Roll Mitagation keep you on the trail.
