The Jeep brand just announced that it’ll be returning the Wrangler Willys edition to the SUVs 2020 lineup, along with an all-new 2020 Wrangler Black & Tan edition. Both special edition models are based on the Wrangler Sport S trim and offer unique exterior and interior accents. “Special editions are a perfect way for Jeep to connect with customers and feed their ideas and passion into the brand and its vehicles. Wrangler Willys harkens back to the original Jeep while Wrangler Black & Tan offers a unique look with a tan top. We are proud that both new models will add to the wide appeal Jeep Wrangler already offers,” said Jim Morrison, Head of Jeep Brand – North America. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willy and Black & Tan editions will be arriving in dealers this coming Fall of 2019.
Jeep Wrangler Willys
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler lineup marks the first time that the Willys edition is available on the latest-generation (JL) Wrangler. The 2020 Wrangler Willys features a limited-slip rear differential, heavy-duty brakes, 32-inch Firestone mud terrain tires, and Rubicon rock rails and shocks. Not only do these features make the Wrangler Willys a bonafide off-roader, but the addition of Jeep’s Command-Trac 4×4 part-time system, along with a two-speed transfer case and a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, all work in tandem to bolster the Jeep Wrangler Willys’ off-road prowess.
The additional capability is highlighted on the Wrangler Willys’ exterior rugged appearance. Exterior design cues include a Willys hood decal, a gloss black sport grille, and unique 17-inch aluminum wheels with gray pad print. Also standard on the Wrangler Willys edition are LED headlights and fog lights, and all-weather slush mats. The Wrangler Willys edition comes in 10 different color options — Black, Sting Ray, Billet, Hellayella, Mojito!, Ocean Blue, White, Firecracker Red, Punk’n, and Granite Crystal. The 2020 Wrangler Willys has a starting MSRP of $33,740 (plus destination fee).
Jeep Wrangler Black & Tan
Available for the first time in 2020, the Wrangler Black & Tan edition features a unique look with a distinct nostalgic flair. The Black & Tan edition comes in all exterior colors, with the addition of 17-inch Machine Granite wheels, all-terrain tires, side steps, and Low Gloss badging. A premium tan soft top complete the design. On the interior, the Black & Tan edition has a Wizard Black colored instrument panel and Heritage Tan cloth seats. Also featured is the Jeep brand’s Technology Group, including a Uconnect infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display, and dual-zone climate control. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Black & Tan edition has a starting MSRP of $32,940 (plus destination fee).
